Meet the President
Hello Everyone,
For those of you who are new to the society and don't know anything about me I'll give you a brief history.
I joined the Dairy Goat Society in 1973, showed extensively for many years, became a judge in 1978 and a member of the Australian Judges Panel in May 1997.
Since joining the society I have spent approximately 30 years on committee in various positions but mainly as editor for the Branch Newsletter and Vice President for quite a few years. This has given me a lot of experience with how the committee works and what is expected of a committee member and a president.
I believe that every member is important and needs to be listened to so can assure you that I will do this.
I believe decisions should be made by the committee following the rules and regulations and I would hope that members asking to be heard on anything would accept decisions made by the committee.
The rules and regulations are there for a reason and should be followed. They have worked well for a very long time. Remember, we are all here for the same reason - our goats, so I hope we can all work together for them.
Iris Millett, President
